Severin Lwali
Severin is originally from Kenya in East Africa. He came to the U.S. as an international student. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology and a Master’s in Intercultural Communication and is an ordained minister. He is a visionary leader with an apostolic calling. He is a gifted communicator and a strategist who has built teams and structures at regional and national levels. He has a pastoral heart, enjoys meeting people and networking, and has a passion for all things cross-cultural. In his free time, Sevo enjoys spending time with his family, soccer, traveling, and delicious ethnic foods.
Kristina Lwali
Kristina grew up in Branson, Missouri. She and Severin met at Missouri State where she earned a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies. She also has a Master’s in Intercultural Ministries (from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary) and is an ordained minister. Kristina thrives in environments where she is training, mentoring, coaching, or writing. She loves learning about other cultures, traveling, reading, being out in nature, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Dharhas Pothina
Dharhas grew up in England and India and came to the US for graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 1999. He is a second generation Christian. He was discipled as an international student in Chi Alpha and has served international student ministry in various volunteer capacities for the last 25 years. As someone who has experienced multiple cultural contexts, he is passionate about seeing God’s people grow in empathy toward the foreigners among them.
He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and an MS in Aerospace Engineering. He currently is the CTO of Quansight, a technology company that focuses on Open Source AI.
Dharhas lives in Springfield, MO with his wife and 2 teenage daughters. He loves woodworking, photography and teaching his daughters to love science.
Dr. Amanda Myers
Amanda’s early years were shaped by frequent moves across the United States, giving her a deep appreciation for new experiences and diverse communities. Born in Ohio, she grew up in Alabama, Texas, California, and Illinois. Her firsthand experience of being the “new person” has fueled her passion for making others feel welcome and included. With a natural gift for encouragement and an eye for recognizing the strengths in those around her, Amanda seeks to uplift and support others in meaningful ways. As an active member of her church, she is dedicated to using her skills to help people grow in their faith and relationship with Christ. Amanda moved to Missouri to attend Southwest Baptist University, where she earned both her B.S. and M.S. in Education. She later completed her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.
Over the years, she has worked with students of all ages and levels, with a primary focus on middle school and higher education. She is often found at the dining room table helping someone work through their math homework, a reflection of her deep commitment to education. Currently, Amanda teaches college-level mathematics and specializes in developing instructional strategies for online learning environments. Amanda and her husband have made Springfield, Missouri, their home, where they are raising their three teenagers. In her free time, she enjoys solving puzzles, crafting, and spending quality time with family and friends.
